Daal & Bass is a South Asian rave culture brand pushing boundaries through music, events, and fashion. We celebrate the fusion of bass music and South Asian culture, creating spaces for underrepresented sounds and communities to thrive. With upcoming merchandise drops and a record label launch, we are looking for a dynamic Audience Growth & Community Manager to build and engage our audience.

Role Overview

We are looking for someone to take the lead in growing Daal & Bass' audience across social media, events, and digital platforms. This role is perfect for a self-starter who understands underground music culture, is passionate about South Asian representation in rave spaces, and knows how to build online communities that translate into real-world engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategy to grow our social media presence (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)

  • Create engaging content that reflects the brand’s identity, including memes, event footage, artist interviews, and cultural storytelling

  • Identify and engage with key online communities, influencers, and potential collaborators

  • Build and nurture an active online community, responding to comments, DMs, and discussions

  • Develop a content calendar aligned with our events, merch drops, and record label releases

  • Track and analyse audience growth metrics, adjusting strategies as needed

  • Work closely with the events and label team to ensure online hype translates into ticket and merch sales

  • Explore innovative ways to increase brand visibility, including partnerships, press, and collaborations

Ideal Candidate

  • Deep understanding of South Asian culture, underground music, and rave scenes

  • Proven experience growing online communities, preferably in music or cultural spaces

  • Creative content creation skills (basic graphic design, video editing, or photography is a must)

  • Strong knowledge of social media trends and platform algorithms

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and take initiative

  • Experience with event promotion, influencer outreach, or brand partnerships is a bonus
